We consider education as integral formation of the human person for the fulfillment of his/her individual and social responsibilities. Our educational endeavors aim at forming leaders who are intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally upright, psychologically integrated, physically healthy, and socially acceptable; who will champion the cause of justice, love truth and peace and who are ever open to further growth.

We aspire towards creating a just and human society where dignity of human person is respected, where unjust social structures are challenged, where our cultural heritage of ahimsa, religious harmony and national integration is upheld, and where the poor and marginalized are specially taken care of. To this end, a number of innovation features are being incorporated into the formal framework of the curriculum of the school.


1. As regular attendance is an important element for successful schoolwork, no student should absent himself/herself from class without sufficient reasons.

2. Parents/Guardians must state clearly the reason for the absence. Failure to do so invalidates the application and renders the student liable to sanction.

3. Leave of absence must be obtained from the class teacher, attested in the Leave Record of the handbook.

School Uniform

1. Uniformity in the uniform is compulsory – Uniformity in pattern, design and colour.

2. Boys should not have long hair and girls must tie their hair with ribbons.

3. Students shall attend the school only in the prescribed uniform.

4. It is the duty of the parents to see that their son/daughter goes to school in the prescribed uniform.

5. Uniform - if they don’t have, they are liable to be sent back home, in which case the school does not take any responsibility.

School Bus Service

1. Students are generally expected to make use of the school buses. Students availing themselves of the bus service, must as a rule, continue to use the service throughout the year. In exceptional cases permission to discontinue could be granted by the principal provided a written application to the effect is submitted by the parent.

2. Bus card is mandatory for all the students those who are benefitting school bus service.

3. Every year new registration is required for the students those who want to use bus service. Payment due of previous years will invalidate further use/ new registration of the bus service.

Picnics and Tours

1. Picnics and tours are part of study and class activity and hence all are expected to join them. It will encourage and strengthen friendliness and love for each other. It is also source of relaxation and help to develop knowledge, good relation and curiosity.

2. All picnics and tours shall be arranged with prior approval of the principal. School authorities, management or staff shall not be held responsible for any accident or mishap during picnics, tours or excursions.


1. Discipline is an integral part of the learning process. If a student is to develop self – control, he/she must be trained to bridle his/her emotions and impulses. Thereby discipline enabling him/her to live in harmony with others, to respect the traditions of his/her family, to keep the laws of the country and to obey the commandments of God.

2. All the students shall make themselves acquainted with the rules and regulations notified for their conduct. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as an excuse for their violation.

3. Students should be polite and courteous and greet their teachers, elders and other respectable persons when they meet them. They should also greet one another.

4. All the students shall be in the school at least five minutes before the morning bell. At the first warning of the bell, all shall gather, in silence, in their respective class rooms. The silent study time starts with the second bell. Immediately after the 3rd bell, students will have to gather for the school assembly. Prayer must be said with due respect and devotion. After the assembly all should go in an orderly manner to their respective class rooms.

school fee

1. Mount Carmel school is an unaided self financing private school. All the students are expected to pay their full school fee without any due, negotiation, or complaint.

2. If there is any kind of Govt. or non Govt. Concession for a student in any category it should be informed on the Admission time with the valid and formal supporting documents.

3. All the LKG UKG students are expected to pay their full school fee within the month of June or during the admission time in order to avoid the enormous inconveniences of collecting fee from the small kids.

4. All kind of concession, scholarship, sponsorship etc are totally depending on the discernment and decision of the management. Neither students nor parents have any right to claim or challenge it.

5. There can be fee increment each academic year up according to the discretion G.O. from the existing fee structure. The management will oblige towards the Government Order Issued by the State and Central Govt. If it is not so, any parent can notify it.

6. School fees are due in advance and should be paid in four installments.

First installment -25% of the total school fee [before July 30]

Second installment- 50% of the total bus fee [before September 30]

Third installment – 75% of the total bus fee [before November 30]

Fourth installment -100% of the total bus fee [before January31]

The academic year is divided in to two semesters. Each semester will have three examinations:

Hall tickets for all examination will be issued to the students. Promotion to the next class will be based on the total marks of SA1 and SA2.
